Texas Eggfest 2007

Well, the 2007 Texas Eggfest in Austin has come and gone. Friday was the Meet and Greet until about 9:30 PM or so and we were at the site by 7:00 AM to light a couple of Big Green Eggs so we could be ready for anyone showing up wanting some breakfast. We also wanted to move a couple of Eggs over to the pavallion where we planned to cook. It was kind of deserted that early but things started picking up by 9:00 AM and remained busy until about sundown.

Empty now but things are just about to kick off...

New Big Green Eggs waiting to be fired up..

One of the early Eggfest University Classes in progress...

There are many other photos of course but it's easier to go directly to the Texas Eggfest web site to view them as they are posted over the next few days. Just click on the link: http://www.texas-eggfest.com/Eggfest2007/

We had a great time, met a lot of old and new friends and cooked up some very tasty dishes including a Mirliton Casserole, Peach Cobbler, Breakfast Quesadillas and Bourbon Chicken. Others cooked dishes that were very tasty and easy to make on the Egg.

Yes, we had a great time and look forward to next year.
